The Bismarck Business Association has announced plans for the annual Bismarck “Bar-B-Queen Pageant” which is set for Saturday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m.
The eighth annual event will be held at the Bismarck High School auditorium. The competition is open to girls ages 6 months to 18 years. There is an entry fee of $25 and the deadline is Sept. 15.
According to information from the organization, there will be seven categories. These include Miss Tiny Baby, 6-12 months; Miss Baby, 1-3 years; Miss Tiny Tot, 4-6 years; Miss Tiny, 7-9 years; Miss Little, 10-12 years; Miss Junior, 13-15 years; and Miss Bismarck Bar-B-Queen, ages 16-18 years. The winner of the Miss category will receive a $75 cash prize and contestants in that category must participate in a question/answer session. Winners in all categories will earn a crown and other prizes and runners-up in each category will receive a trophy.
Entry forms include questions about favorite movies, foods, hobbies and ambitions.
