AMITY - The Bismarck Lady Lions banged out 15 hits and scored six runs in two of the middle innings and aded the game winning run in the top of the 10th inning to defeat the Centerpoint Lady Knights in Amity on Thursday 8-7.
Centerpoint scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and led 3-0 through the top of the fourth inning.
Mckenzie Efird singled to left field and with out, Delilah Johnson singled tor right field. With two outs, Cassidy Mueller doubled to right-center field and scored Efird on the play. Keyton Goza followed with a two-run triple to the gap in right-center to get Bismarck into a 3-3 tie with the Lady Knights.
The Lady Lions added three more runs in the top of the fifth to go up 6-3. Jordan Lancaster hit a triple to the right-centerfield gap with one out. She scored when Johnson singled to right field and Skyen Loy singled to right field. Mueller cleared the bases with a 2-run double for Bismarck.
Centerpoint came back to score four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 7-6 lead.
With the game on the line in the seventh, Lancaster tripled to right-center for the second time in the game with one out. Johnson singled to center to bring in Lancaster and tie the game 7-7.
The game was scoreless through the eighth and ninth inning. Finally, Goza doubled to right-center to drive in a run and put the Lady Lions up 8-7.
