BISMARCK - Fountain Lake scored its only run in the top of the first inning and the Bismarck Lady Lions trounced them with 17-unanswered scores to with 17-1 in a three-inning, run-rule, blended conference game at Bismarck on Wednesday.
Kyndall Willis led off the game with a triple to left field and stole home. Mckenzie Efird walked, but was out at second base. With two outs, Jordan Lancaster singled to left field and Skylen Loy singled to mover Lancaster to second. Lancaster stole third base and Loy stole second. Lancaster scored on a wild pitch and Cassidy Mueller singled down the third base line to bring in Loy for a 3-1 Bismarck lead.
After Willis sat the Lady Cobras down in order in the top of the second inning, Keyton Goza led off the Lady Lions half of the inning with a solo homer to left-center field. Mckenzie Wesson doubled to right field. Wesson stole third base and scored on a wild pitch. Bianca Pettus singled to right field. Pettus scored when Willis doubled to center field and Efird doubled to left field to move Willis to third base. Delilah Johnson singled to left field to bring in Willis and Efird scored on a wild pitch. After Johnson stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch, Lancaster walked and Loy singled in Johnson and Lancaster. Mueller followed with a single, but three fly ball outs ended the inning with Bismarck leading 10-1.
Fountain Lake went down in order in the top of the third inning.
Willis led off the bottom of the third with a single to right field, Efird followed with her second double of the game, this one to right field and it scored Willis. Johnson doubled to right-center field to bring in Efird and Lancaster doubled to left field to score Johnson. Lancaster scored on a passed ball and Loy was hit by a pitch. Loy moved to third on two passed balls and scored when Mueller singled to left-center field. Goza singled to left center, Wesson walked and Pettus doubled in Goza and Wesson with one out to make it 17-1.
