GURDON - The Gurdon Go-Devils got back on the winning track at the end of the regular season with a 41-37 decision over the Fountain Lake Cobras on Friday night.
Cameron Gulley led Gurdon with 20 points, while BJ Brewer added 10 in the victory.
Gulley made a basket and hit two free throws in the first quarter, but Brewer was the man on fire for the Go-Devils. Brewer made four straight shots and kept the game close as Fountain Lake came back to tie it at 12-12.
In the second quarter, Gulley took control with three field goals and a free throw, while KJ Tidwell hit a 3-pointer for all 10 of the Gurdon points in the second period. The Go-Devils led 22-21 at halftime.
In a slower-paced second half, Gulley completed a three-point play and made one of two free throws, while Kagon Morrison hit a 3-pointer for Gurdon, who increased its lead to 29-27 by the end of the third period.
Gulley made two field goals and a free throw in the fourth quarter, while Brewer added a basket, Morrison scored and Tidwell hit a 3-pointer for the Go-Devils. Gurdon outscored Fountain Lake 12-10 in the fourth period to extend its lead to four points.

GURDON - Gurdon’s Daesha Ivory scored 20 points, Kira Accor added 15 points and Antwonette Laster scored 10 points, but the Fountain Lake Lady Cobras outscored the Lady Go-Devils 64-54 on Friday night.
In was the last regular season game for the Lady Go-Devils, who are winless in 24 tries.
Against Fountain Lake, Gurdon trailed 12-10 after the first quarter. Keoyna Jones had a basket, Accor scored a field goal while Ivory made two of four free throws and Laster put in a 3-pointer and a free throw for the Lady Go-Devils.
In the second period, Fountain Lake outscored Gurdon 20-13 to take a 32-23 halftime lead. Accor made two 3-pointers in the period, Ivory added two field goals and Laster made a 3-pointer.
In the third quarter, Alicia Anna put in a free throw, Jones made a 3-pointer, Accor made a basket and Ivory put in four field goals as the Lady Go-Devils played even with the Lady Cobras with a 15-15 third period.
In the fourth quarter, Accor had a basket and a 3-pointer, Ivory made a field goal and hit four of seven free throws, Laster added a basket, Shayla Anna scored a field goal and Michaela Mayfield made one of three free throws for the Lady Go-Devils.
