Lois Faye Buck, 53, of Arkadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2009. She had fought her long-term illness, gastroparesis, for over 30 years but never lost her faith. She was born March 6, 1956 in Arkadelphia to Arthur C. and Geneva Price Buck. Lois was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Arkadelphia. Her father and one sister, Joyce Ann Carmichael and her husband, John Carmichael, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Geneva Buck; two brothers, Lester Buck and Charles (Louise) Buck; two sisters, Darlene Buck and Linda (Jim) Duncan all of Arkadelphia; five nephews, Charles Buck Jr., Jeremy Buck, Jackie Buck, Jeffrey Duncan and Randy Duncan; one niece, Anita Gail Carmichael, and one special cousin, Betty Patton and her husband, Jim.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at First United Pentecostal Church in Arkadelphia with the Rev. Richard Price officiating. Burial will be in the DeGray Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at First United Pentecostal Church. The body will lie in state at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home on Tuesday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Lois Buck Funeral Fund, % Sharon Wright P.O. Box 473 Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
