Lois Henigan Reid, 99, wife of the late Dr. Joe W. Reid, died in her sleep, Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010.  The daughter of Denis Oren and Annabelle Hinkson Henigan she was born Sept. 26, 1910 in Little Rock.
 After their marriage in 1932 the Reids lived in Atlanta, Geo., where he was an intern at Grady Memorial Hospital.  In 1934 they moved to Wartburg, Tenn., for a year of service in the Civilian Conservation Corps.  In 1935 the Reid’s moved to Arkadelphia,  where Dr. Reid set up his medical practice and Lois became active in the community and the First Presbyterian Church.  She lived on Hickory Street until 2001 when she moved to Greenville, S.C.
 Surviving are daughters Anna Kate Hipp and her husband, Hayne, of Greenville, S.C. and Elese Reid of Manhattan, N.Y.  Other survivors include grandchildren, Mary Henigan Hipp of Greenville, Francis Reid Hipp and his wife, Brice, of Greenville,  Anna Hayne (Tres) Small and her husband Robert of Athens, Ga., and great grandchildren Camilla, Hayne and Reid Hipp and Hannah and Clara Small.
 The funeral service will be held in Arkadelphia, in the spring.
