Beverly Blevins Romesburg, 78, of Arkadelphia died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1932 the daughter of Aubrey and Edith Hutchings Blevins. She was a retired secretary for Central Elementary School, a graduate of Henderson State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, a member of PEO Chapter BG, member of the Arkie Stars Square Dance Club, Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia. She was preceded in death by a son James Aubrey Romesburg and a grandson Michael Romesburg.
Survivors include her husband Paul Romesburg; one son, Paul Scott Romesburg and wife Gunda of Bartlett, Tenn.; two daughters, Jocelyn “Jo” Powell and husband Lyle of Spokane, Wash., Melanie Romesburg of Atlanta, Ga.; a close family friend Tammy Kireshtein; three grandchildren, Stephen Romesburg, Aubrey and Madison Powell.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia.
