Bobbie Snowden Wesson, 71, of Hot Springs, died Monday in Health Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Minden, La., daughter of Sarah Webb Clark and John D. Clark.
She was a graduate of Langston High School where she was cum luade of her class and she attended Henderson State University. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant and Secretary for 32 years by the Hot Springs School District.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Cicero Clark.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Wesson, one son, Wallace (Donna) Snowden of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Sherrie (George) Mays, of North Little Rock; Denise Finney of Atlanta; Dana Snowden of Little Rock; two stepsons, Charles Wesson of Los Angeles, and James Wesson of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Caliece (Cliff) Hart, of Atlanta; Barnett Mays of University of Central Arkansas, Conway; Alphonso Tollette of Atlanta; her mother, Sarah Shell of Hot Springs; two sisters, Freddye (Isaiah) Ollison and Velma Moss both of Sacramento, Calif.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 6- 8 p.m. at Visitor’s Chapel AME Church in Hot Springs.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, in Visitor’s Chapel A.M.E. Church, the Rev. Angela Brewster Piggee, pastor. The officiant, Presiding Elder Clarence V. Boyd Sr., is the eulogist. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Hot Springs by Williams Funeral Home, Inc.
Pallbearers will be Vester Martin, Willie Huff, Andre Richardson, Reginald Richardson, Frank Thompson and William “Bill” Watkins.
