David Allen Jones, 50, of Arkadelphia, died Friday. He was born Dec. 24, 1959, in Arkadelphia son of Booker T. and Annie M. Moss Jones.
He was a member of Christ Temple Holiness and was a 1978 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. He was a former employee of Henderson State University.
He was preceded in death by his father, Booker T. Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Gayle Jones of Arkadelphia, his mother, Annie M. Jones of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Joselyn Jones of Topeka, Kan.; four step-children, Brandon Giles of Minnesota, Shelby McClure, Theresa Ware, and Shalanda Crite, all of Arkadelphia; three sisters, Lottie Ware, Veronica Moore, Stephanie Thomas, all of Arkadelphia; one brother, Samuel T. Jones of Arkadelphia; one aunt, Sandra Bryant of Arkadelphia; two uncles, Roy Gray of Arkadelphia, and Willie Moss of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home 11 a.m.-7 p.m. with family hour 6 -7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, in Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Dr. Lewis A. Shepherd, pastor, the Rev. Ron Sasser officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery by Williams Funeral Home, Inc.
Pallbearers will be David Crockett, John Sanders, Andre Adams, William King, Lewis Duncan and Craig Green.
