Beirna (B.J.) James Wilson, 69, of Gurdon died Saturday, June 13, 2009 in the Golden Living nursing home-Arkadelphia. He was born Sept. 20, 1939 in Beirne the son of the late Dan Wilson and Mamie Bozman. He was a retired employee of Robbs service station and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church at Beirne.
Survivors include one son, Rashune Hopson of Little Rock; four daughters, Lisa Wilson and Kim Wilson of Gurdon, Beirna Jean Williams of Ohio and Verna Wilson of California; one brother, Russell Bell of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Vernessa Russey, Dorothy Gulley, and Gloria Bazzelle all of Gurdon; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 20, at 2 p.m. at the New Mount Zion Baptist Church at Gurdon with the Rev. William Colbert, officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove cemetery at Beirne, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
