Kathy Jo Smith, 46, of Arkadelphia died Friday, June 12, 2009 at her home. She was born Feb. 13, 1963 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Samuel and Lily Frances Scott Smith Jr. Kathy was a store clerk for West Pine Exxon in Arkadelphia and previously at Valley Exxon in Caddo Valley. She was a member of El Shaddai Ministries in Bismarck. Her father and one brother, Andrew Joel Smith preceded her in death.
Survivors are one son, Kirby Scott Smith of the home, her mother, Lily Frances Troyer of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Charles Smith of Donaldson, and William Smith of Arkadelphia.
Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 16, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nellie Looper officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Family will gather at El Shaddai Ministries in Bismarck following services. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online guest register is available at www.ruggleswilcox.com.
