Jerry Douglas Toland, age 55, of Prescott, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010.
Jerry was born Nov. 23, 1954, in Seminole, Texas, to James Toland and Lula Mae Taylor. He was a member of the Red Springs Baptist Church. Jerry was an avid hunter and golfer and had a very unique way of looking at life.
He is survived by his wife, Dena Toland of the home; his daughters, Jesika Toland of the home and Marena Smithpeters of Gurdon; his sons, Jamie Toland and wife Shandy and Jarrod Toland and wife Megan, all of Russellville; his father, James Toland and his wife Jean of Gurdon; his mother, Lula Mae Taylor of Reno, Nev.; his siblings, John, Nicky, Sylvia, Dianne and Nancy; his grandchildren, Ty, Eli, and Josie Toland; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends who loved and will truly miss him.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, at the First Baptist Church of Gurdon with Bro. Mike Black officiating, assisted by Bro. Kenneth Bobo under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon. Family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
