The vehicles continued east on Caddo Street when the driver of the van passed the car in a no passing zone, nearly causing an accident. After stopping in front of the car, a man and woman got out of the van and began walking toward the complainant. Bethell warned the two to get back into the vehicle and then spoke to them. The driver, 52-year-old Mary Collins, of 313 N. Seventh St., was cited for passing in a no passing zone and reckless driving. She said she was angry at the driver ahead of her because of something that happened in Caddo Valley. A similar incident occurred Tuesday, when Perry warned Collins to control her road rage after a person driving from Caddo Valley reported the driver of a van was trying to run her over. Collins told police that the complainant improperly passed her on Interstate 30.
