Tuesday, Feb. 2

An employee of a convenience store reported that someone forged a $3,918 check in January.
A resident of the 2500 block of Country Club Road reported someone broke into his apartment and stole his PlayStation 3 and XBox 360, worth $500. Officer Woody Perry arrived to note that it appeared the perpetrator gained entry by kicking in the front door.

Sunday, Jan. 31

A Robin Lane woman reported receiving harassing text messages.
Police received a 911 hang-up call from a residence on the 600 block of South 22nd Street. Sgts. Don Cleek, James Shearin and Jason Jackson responded and spoke with the complainant and the suspect, who had been seeing each other for two years and living together for two months. The woman said her boyfriend called his sister, and she overheard him say derogatory things about her to his sister, angering her. The two began arguing, and a pushing match ensued. Police observed minor marks on both parties from the shoving.

Saturday, Jan. 30

A resident of the 900 block of Walnut Street reported the theft of a wallet. She said her boyfriend stole her daughter’s wallet, which contained a debit card, checkbook and $9 cash.

Friday, Jan. 29

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of South Austin Street, where a woman reported that a man threw a bottle at her vehicle.
A resident of the 900 block of South 22nd Street reported that someone fraudulently used his debit card, making six charges in two days to Internet-based companies.
An employee of a Pine Street business showed police a counterfeit $20 bill that a customer paid with.

Thursday, Jan. 28

A Walmart loss prevention officer called police to report he had a suspected shoplifter in custody. The store said it did not want to press charges against the man but did not want him to return to Walmart property.
A Sparkman woman reported an Arkadelphia mechanic company allowed someone to damage her car, which had been sitting at the shop since October.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

Police responded to a disturbance that occurred at the 1700 block of Crawford Street. The complainant said he witnessed a man kicking another man on the ground, and he tried to break up the fight.
A resident of the 200 block of South 24th Street reported that someone used her water hose and ran her water while she was at work. Officer Thomas Free went to the suspected neighbor’s house, where it appeared that someone had been washing cars. However, no one was at home.
An employee of a business on WP Malone Drive reported that someone drove into one of the building’s awnings, then left  without reporting it. Surveillance video showed a tractor trailer hit the awning while the driver was attempting to turn around in the parking lot.
