Saturday, Jan. 16
A resident of the 2500 block of Country Club Road reported someone struck his parked vehicle with their car, damaging the left door mirror.
A resident of the 1000 block of South 12th Street reported that someone had been trying to break into her home for the past two weeks, tampering with several window screens.
Officer Ronnie Land observed vandalism at Central Park. He found a park bench and a trash can that were in the wrong place, as well as a fire extinguisher. Another fire extinguisher was found by another person, and it was discovered later that the perpetrator(s) discharged the extinguishers and sprayed “silly string” onto the softball and tennis fields at Ouachita Baptist University.
Friday, Jan. 15
A resident of Cox Mobile Home Park on West Pine Street called 911 to report that her boyfriend hit her. She said that, as she pulled into her driveway, he came at her, attacked her and broke her cell phone. Witnesses said they saw the man slap her, kick her, choke her and pull her out of the car before he walked away, east on Pine Street.

A Fuller Road man reported someone fraudulently used his credit card, charging $245 to his account for several items.
Friday, Jan. 15
A resident of the 800 block of Pipeline Loop in Beirne reported that someone had been cutting wood from her 40-acre tract of land. She said she knew the man responsible, but did not want to press charges.
Thursday, Jan. 14
Deputy Thomas Jordan was dispatched to Southfork Truck Stop in reference to a scam with the store’s gaming machines. The owner of the gas station said the suspects manipulated the game machines to get tickets, which they used to purchase $160 worth of merchandise from the store. Five suspects, all of Clarksville, were transported to the sheriff’s office and interviewed. Citations were written to Christopher Johnson, 24, and Jody Humphrey, 42.
Deputy Robbie Plyler was dispatched to Tower Lane in reference to a theft that occurred at a Suddenlink Communications facility. An employee reported the theft of an $800 piece of equipment.
Tuesday, Jan. 12
A resident of the 13000 block of Highway 51 South in Okolona reported that two men pulled into his driveway and stole a wheel and tire before driving away.
A house fire was reported at 115 Elia Lane in Gurdon. Whelen Springs firefighters responded, and the report indicates the homeowners were not in the area. The extent of damage is unknown.
