A resident of the 200 block of Main Street reported his home was broken into. Cpl. Jason Watson and Sgt. Jason Jackson responded to find that the point of entry was apparently made with a butter knife at a door. The perpetrators made off with a 42-inch flat-screen television, a 32-inch flat-screen television, an Xbox gaming system and a “folder full” of Xbox games.

A 22nd Street man on crutches reported his father hit him in the head three times with his fist — “for no reason” — while the two were at a residence on the 1700 block of Crawford Street.

Police were dispatched to an apartment complex at the 2500 block of Country Club Road after a resident there called 911 to report someone went through the apartment window and stole three purses and a set of car keys. The complainant said his two friends were downstairs watching television when they heard a noise from the kitchen area. One of them yelled “Hello?” before running upstairs “in fright.” The suspect was already in the apartment and exited through the front door with his loot. The complainant said he then walked downstairs to find a window “wide open” and the front door unlocked, and saw a person walking through the parking lot wearing a red and white shirt or hoodie. Sgt. Jason Jackson, while in the area looking for the suspect, found two vehicles broken into at Village North Apartments, and both were unlocked. Another woman at Country Club Villa said her car was broken into earlier in the day, and another Country Club Villa apartment was broken into. In total, the perpetrator made away with $1,375 worth of merchandise, including change, two purses, car keys with an attached wallet, a PlayStation 3 gaming system and a cell phone.
