Gulley found guilty, sentenced to life

A jury of six men and six women recommended and Eighth Judicial District-North Circuit Judge Randy Wright sentenced Michael Dewayne Gulley, 34, to life imprisonment without parole, plus a total of 45 years imprisonment on other charges Thursday in the shooting death of a Prescott woman and the shooting of another man.

Rape charges filed against Prince

A Gurdon man has been arrested for the rape of a juvenile and could face life in prison.

Wednesday morning log truck roll over

 

Arkansas State Police investigate a one-vehicle accident that occurred this morning at about 9 a.m. on Highway 67 near the Clark-Hot Spring county line. Caddo Valley and State Highway police worked with state troopers to control traffic, which was directed onto the west shoulder of the highway, as the road was blocked. The driver of the 18-wheeler, which was hauling a load of logs, was not injured. There were no passengers in the Mack truck. Caddo Valley Police Chief David Thomason said the driver lost control of the 18-wheeler while traveling south, turning the vehicle on its side and scattering logs into the east ditch. The truck belonged to the Amity-based Joel Davidson Logging Co.
