An Arkadelphia man lost his life Wednesday afternoon while traveling on Highway 70.
According to a report by the Arkansas State Police, Jackie Gray, 67, was driving west in the Garland County town of Lonsdale Wednesday when his vehicle, a 2002 Buick, reportedly left the roadway.
Gray's vehicle reportedly crossed the highway’s middle turn lane into eastbound traffic before he left the highway.
The vehicle went into a ditch and struck a tree. Arkansas State Police Sergeant Kevin S. Steed investigated the crash, which occurred at 2:45 p.m.
Garland County Coroner Stuart Smedley arrived at the scene. Gray was pronounced deceased at 3:35 p.m.
