On Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office are co-hosting a prescription drug drop-off point as part of Arkansas’s 15th Prescription Drug Take Back Event.
The take back location will be at Fourth and Clay, directly in front of the Clark County Courthouse. Chief Jason Jackson and Sheriff Jason Watson will be at this location to collect your unused prescription medications and safely turn them over to the Drug Enforcement Agency.
The collection point will operate as part of the statewide initiative to combat prescription drug abuse. Please consider that prescription drug abuse often starts within the home through family members or friends taking medications that are unattended by the prescribed patient without their knowledge. If you cannot make it to the take back event there are secure drop boxes at both agencies in the lobby, available seven days a week.
