Maintenance work on State Highway 53 requires a temporary closure west of DeGray, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials.
Weather permitting, crews will close State Highway 53 approximately six miles south of Highway 8 starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 16 and will remain closed through 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. This closure will allow crews to replace cross drains. Traffic traveling to Arkadelphia can use State Highway 8 or State Highway 26 to State Highway 51 depending on their location.
Traffic will be controlled with flaggers, signage and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
