Staying Steady

Have you ever felt invisible and no one sees you at all?
When trouble comes your way, it’s easy to feel like this. You may even feel like a gray curtain is drawn around you; you can see out, but you feel no one can see in.
Believe it or not, even Jesus had that feeling. You can be assured that He understands when you feel abandoned since He experienced this emotion Himself. When He was on the cross, He cried out asking why the father had turned away.
My friend, there will be dark times in life when you’ll feel alone, as if God Himself has left you. In the midst of that darkness, keep on doing what you know to be right. Keep on spending time with Him by praying and meditating in His Word. Hang on to your trust in Him, don’t shrink back, but stay on track and remain steady in your faith. The light is coming back as sure as the sun rises after the darkness of night. In time, you will stand victoriously, knowing that even if your feelings indicated otherwise, God was with you all along.
“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong and firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” – 1 Corinthians 15:58.
