Since 2012, The Kiwanis Club of Clark County has been serving the community in a variety of service projects. The club has raised and contributed over $30,000 and for children in the local community.
Kiwanis of Clark County is a part of Kiwanis International. Founded in 1915, Kiwanis International is a global organization of clubs and members dedicated to serving the children of the world. Kiwanis and its family of clubs, including Circle K International for university students, Key Club for students age 14–18, Builders Club for students age 11–14, K-Kids for students age 6–12 and Aktion Club for adults living with disabilities, annually dedicate more than 18.5 million service hours to strengthen communities and serve children. The Kiwanis International family comprises more than 702,000 adult and youth members in more than 79 countries and geographic areas. Kiwanis of Clark County was chartered in 2012.
To commemorate the club’s achievements, they are having a 6th Birthday Dutch Treat Celebration on Thursday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at Benvenuti Italian Restaurant located on 2607 Caddo Street in Arkadelphia and all who are interested in learning more about Kiwanis are invited. The Kiwanis Club welcomes new members who want to serve their community. Information about becoming a member is available at www.kiwanis.org or by joining the meetings held the first and third Wednesday of every month at Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant, 2805 Pine St, in Arkadelphia at 11 a.m.
