A Gurdon juvenile is currently in police custody for an alleged threat.
Allen Blackwell, superintendent for the Gurdon Public School District, alerted Clark County Sheriff Jason Watson on Friday, Feb. 16 at 8 a.m. in regards to a threat made the previous day by a Gurdon High School student. The suspect was placed in the custody of the sheriff’s office.
The juvenile's name has not been released. Although Watson confirmed on Sunday, Feb. 18 that the juvenile was still being detained. The suspect reportedly appeared in court Tuesday.
Authorities have not confirmed any new information. The department has advised in a release that more information might be released following the investigation’s conclusion.
