An Arkadelphia woman faces charges for an alleged knife-related aggravated assault.
On Dec. 23, Cpl. Joseph Paull with the Arkadelphia Police Department, along with Officers Jacob Voss and Andrew Samuel were dispatched to a residence on Elaine Circle where they encountered alleged suspect Victoria Stewart and a male victim.
The two had reportedly gotten into an argument that eventually turned physical. Stewart stated that she had allegedly grabbed a knife after the man pushed her.
During this interaction, the man reportedly hit the knife with his head. Court documents note that Stewart was not observed to have any physical injuries.
The victim told authorities that Stewart grabbed the knife and stabbed him in the side of the head.
Stewart was arrested and taken to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and later charged with Class D felony assault. She was arraigned earlier this week and pled not guilty.
An omnibus hearing is scheduled for April 10.
