The Arkadelphia man charged with a December aggravated robbery has pled not guilty.
Jeffrey Dewayne Hart, 24, was arraigned Tuesday in Clark County Circuit Court, where in addition to robbery he has been charged with firearm possession and false imprisonment.
Hart is accused of a downtown business robbery on Dec. 15, in which he allegedly produced a gun. Authorities learned of his alleged involvement through video surveillance.
Owing to a history of felony convictions, the defendant faces extended prison time in the event of a guilty verdict.
Hart currently is being held in the Arkansas Department of Correction’s Ouachita River Unit. An omnibus hearing is scheduled for April 10.
