The Arkadelphia Badger basketball team had a series of setbacks at the Lake Hamilton Holiday Tournament last week.

The Arkadelphia Badger basketball team had a series of setbacks at the Lake Hamilton Holiday Tournament last week.
The varsity boys kicked off action on Thursday against the host team. The Badgers fell 69-49 to the Wolves.
Javonte Brown led Arkadelphia with 20 points, while Kanovus Leeper had 10 points.
The Badgers returned to action and lost 64-59 to Pea Ridge. Victor Tadamey led the way with 30 points, Brown finished with 11 and Dillon Scott added 8.
In their third game, the Prescott Curley Wolves got by the Badgers by a final score of 61-55.
Tademy and Brown finished with 17 points each, while Scott chipped in 7.
Despite coming up short, head coach Donald Williams is still positive about his team’s performance this season.
“We got a late start, but we’re getting there. The kids are coming around and I’m looking forward to it,” said Williams.
Prior to the tournament, the Badgers took wins against the Glen Rose Beavers and Bismarck Lions. They will look to bounce back this Friday night at home against the Haskell Harmony Grove Cardinals.
 
Junior High
The Arkadelphia 8th and 9th grade teams fell in the Kameron Hale Invitational.
The Badgers lost 45-41 to Mena and 51-21 to Bryant.
The Badgers, along with the 8th and 9th grade girls team, will be on the road Thursday against Haskell Harmony Grove.
