An accident on Interstate 30 Monday night has claimed the life of an Arkadelphia man.
According to a report by the Arkansas State Police, Kevin G. Taylor Sr., 61, was driving east near the 22-mile marker on I-30's westbound lane at 9:26 p.m. in Hempstead County. The headlights of Taylor’s Chevrolet pickup truck were reportedly off. Taylor reportedly collided with a westbound truck.
The Chevrolet ended up in a ditch while the other driver drove into the interstate’s median. The latter’s identification and condition after the wreck were not noted in the report.
Dep. Coroner Eddie McKinnon pronounced Taylor dead at the scene. The report notes that conditions at the time were foggy and with wet roads.
