An alleged sex offender has been charged for violating his address registration.
Since June 22, Coty Rector, 22, had been checking in with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. However, it was learned through a parole officer that the defendant’s residence conflicted with the information he had been giving.
The address given on June 22 listed an Arkadelphia residence on Carley Road; the same was given on Aug. 18. During an Aug. 31 visit to add his employment status, Rector again provided this same address.
Investigator Rene Jones recently travelled to the address and learned that Rector had allegedly stayed at the residence for only one day. He then reportedly returned to a Delight home to stay with family. A separate source confirmed to Jones that Rector has been residing in Delight.
Rector was served the warrant for his arrest last week.
Court records state that under the habitual Class C felony, he could serve between three to 20 years in prison.
