In response, some Arkadelphia groups are working to assist Houston victims of Hurricane Harvey readjust and pick up the pieces.
Both AllCare Pharmacy and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department have donated cases of medical and cleaning supplies that will go towards Houston citizens who have experienced loss.
“I’m just very appreciative of how our community comes out to help complete strangers,” said Clark County Sheriff Jason Watson. “These donations are from their hearts and it shows what our county is made of. From the fire and rescue personnel that responded to help to the donations we received, this has definitely made an impact and touched lives.”
Besides the supplies, an amount of $300 was donated to the sheriff’s department by AllCare. This money will benefit the cleanup of Houston by helping to afford work gloves and other supplies.
AllCare is thanking the public for the opportunity to serve.
“You can always count on AllCare Pharmacy to be there,” said Sen. Percy Malone. “We are proud to be your locally owned hometown pharmacy.”
“AllCare, our hometown pharmacy, is always there to help people in need,” said Watson. “We appreciate AllCare Pharmacy for their generosity.”
The supplies are expected to be delivered this week. An exact date was yet to be determined.
