The Arkadelphia Badger Foundation and the Arkadelphia Football Club are making plans for the 2017-18 school year.

The Arkadelphia Badger Foundation and the Arkadelphia Football Club are making plans for the 2017-18 school year.
The Badger Foundation is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation which was formed last year and was created solely to support and benefit the athletic programs of the Arkadelphia public schools. It was recognized as the 2016 Volunteer Organization of the Year by the Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
In its first year, the Foundation provided money and supplies to Badger athletic teams and spirit groups and awarded scholarships to three AHS Seniors. The organization also recently purchased a utility trailer for the Arkadelphia public schools. The Foundation’s funds come primarily from memberships and donations. All money collected by the ABF is used for the benefit of Arkadelphia Highs School athletic and spirit groups.
There are various membership levels which provide donors with certain benefits such as access to a VIP entrance for Badger football games, reserved parking, seatback chairs for use during games and advertising recognition.
Anyone who would like to become a Foundation member or donor may contact the group through its website, www.badgerfoundation.com, or at P.O. Box 86, Arkadelphia.
Among other things, the Foundation sponsors the Arkadelphia Football Club which will be starting its ninth year this week when Head Coach J.R. Eldridge gives a pre-season report on the Badgers. The Football Club meets every Thursday at noon during the high school football season. The Club meets at Arkadelphia Rec Center and meetings are open to the public.
Since its inception, the Football Club has recognized dozens of Badger football players and has provided a year-end banquet honoring the entire football team and spirit squads.
The Foundation and the Football Club look forward to another successful year of supporting Arkadelphia’s athletes and spirit squads.
