Three felony charges have been filed against an Arkadelphia man, one of which carries a potential life sentence.
Clark County sheriff deputies travelled to a Hickman Road location to investigate a call about defendant Tracy Blankenship being armed with a rifle and pointing it at someone. Learning that he was reportedly in a garden on the property, authorities found a crouching Blankenship in a shed.
He was allegedly “in hands reach” of a hunting knife and the aforementioned rifle, the latter of which was fully loaded.
After bringing the man for continued detention at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, an inventory was conducted. In Blankenship’s possession was a small bag containing a crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine. It weighed .84 grams.
Blankenship has been charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, a Class Y felony that could carry a sentence between 10-40 years or life in prison., possession of methamphetamine, and aggravated assault.
