Charges have been filed against a couple following the theft of a vehicle from the Shell station in Caddo Valley.
According to the report, Caddo Valley Police Chief Aaron Collier spoke with the victim at the Shell station who reported that his truck had been stolen by a man and woman, both white. The victim also shared a list of items that had been in the truck, including a camouflage backpack.
Later, a pair matching the description of the suspects, a bleach blond man and dark haired woman, were located by authorities in a wooded area. Using video surveillance provided by the Shell station, Collier concluded that the couple in the woods were the same as those involved in the truck theft.
According to the victim, he had allegedly been punched in the face and pepper sprayed by the suspects. The victim alleges that the male suspect, later identified as Les Miller Jr., 21 of England, attempted to pull what appeared to be a gun out of his waistband.
The case’s affidavit also states that Miller and the woman, Christa Martin, 34 of North Little Rock, allegedly tried to force the victim off of the vehicle during the theft by trying to cause his body to hit diesel gas pumps.
The video footage also showed Martin and Miller arriving at the scene in a green 1993 Ford Ranger. A check through ACIC confirmed the truck to be stolen as well.
Both Miller and Martin have both been charged robbery, aggravated assault, theft of property and theft by receiving.
