The Arkadelphia High School girls basketball coach has been charged with driving while intoxicated for a second time.
Coach Robert Lynn Rook, who is also a counselor at AHS, was arrested at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 30 in Clark County.
According to the citation distributed to KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock, Rook is charged with driving left of center, improper lane change/ usage, and failure to yield to emergency vehicle. A copy of Rook’s arrest report was not provided.
In 2015, Rook was also charged with DWI in Hot Spring County, then convicted in 2016.
"The District is currently gathering and reviewing documentation related to the arrest,” said Arkadelphia Superintendent Dr. Donnie Whitten.
“We will follow state law and district policy as we make a decision on how to move forward. I cannot comment any further at this time,” Whitten added.
