A 22-year-old man is facing a drug charge after Clark County authorities uncovered over 200 Xanax pills from him.
Inv. Brent Whitworth was notified that defendant Willandro Ware would be traveling to Arkadelphia from Little Rock in possession of the pills that had been purchased with counterfeit money.
Familiar with Ware, Whitworth, along with Sheriff Jason Watson and Inv. Blake Forga set up at Interstate 30 in Caddo Valley and waited for a white Jeep Compass that was reportedly being driven by Ware.
Lawmen initiated a traffic stop after spotting the Jeep. They allegedly observed the smell of marijuana near Ware.
Upon investigation, authorities found two bags marijuana close to the defendant. Two additional bags of the substance were located beneath Ware's feet as he exited the vehicle. Ware also handed over a bag with 10 Xanax pills.
After being transported to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Ware allegedly withdrew another bag containing an additional 216 pills.
Ware has been charged with possession with purpose to deliver.
