Henry Louis Marks, 64, Hot Springs, passed June 14, 2017.
He was born June 20, 1952 in Gurdon, son of James Garfield and Lucille Hawthorne Marks. He was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. He was a 1970 graduate of Gurdon High School.
He worked at Southwestern Bell. After retiring, he stared teaching Karate in Arkadelphia, Hot Springs and Gurdon. He was the owner and operator of KMG Clothing store in Gurdon. 
He was preceded in his passing by his parents and three brothers, James Marks, Jr., Julius Marks and Johnnie Lee Marks. 
Henry Louis is survived by his children: Amanda Purifoy of Hope, Tyrone Marks and Gregory Marks of Gurdon, Derrick Gulley of Tyler, Texas, Mike Marks and Kimberly Marks of Little Rock; thirteen grandchildren; siblings, Annie J. (Billy) Lockhart, Annie McNeil, Fannie Sheppard and Oscar (Demita) Marks.
Public visitation Sunday, 2 - 6 p.m. and the family will receive friends 5 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Gurdon, Rev. Johnny C. Harris, pastor, Rev. William Colbert, eulogist.
