James Dawn, 62, Holly Springs, passed April 10, 2017. He was born December 15, 1954 in Ouachita County, son of Buster and Lois Rideout Dawn. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Bearden High School.
He was employed at Transit Tank in Fordyce for 35 years.
He was preceded in his passing by his parents, two sons, James Dawn and Derrick Parham, Sr.; siblings, Thelma Gordon, Lee, Donnell and Terry Dawn.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Rubie Mae Dawn, his son, Cameron Dawn and Patrick Eason, whom he cherished as a son; siblings, Alice Dawn of Bearden, Irene Ross of Camden and Angela Smith of Savannah, GA, James Marshall of North Little Rock, Julius Dawn of Carthage, Buster Dawn, Jr., of Holly Springs and Ricky Dawn of Fordyce.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Bearden, Rev. K. D. Barker, pastor and eulogist. Interment will be at New White Springs Community Cemetery in Bearden.
