An altercation last week in Clark County District Court resulted in a man being charged for misdemeanor battery.
On March 8, defendant Ethel Horton was convicted of third-degree battery charges that stemmed from an incident last year, when she reportedly beat a woman with a wrench. She in return received a fine, probation, and a suspended jail sentence.
After the verdict, Horton’s son, Juan Horton, engaged in an altercation described by law enforcement as “brief and physical” against his father, who was also present in the courtroom.
Officers and bailiffs responded and Horton was placed under arrest. He has been charged with third-degree domestic battering.
