Gurdon City Hall hosted its first flu clinic Friday to positive community reception.
The clinic was coordinated by the Clark County Health Department’s Kathy Loden, Mayor Sherry Kelley and Gurdon School District Nurse Dee Blackwell.
Vaccinations were offered from 2 to 6 p.m. If those in attendance did not have insurance coverage, then the shots were free. Kelley revealed that the close to 90 people came to get shots.
The service was also praised, with there not being any waiting.
With such a great turnout, plans to make this an annual offering look bright.
“Everyone was pleased and we are already talking about next year,” said Kelley.
