American mezzo-soprano Sarah Mesko will give a recital on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Harwood Recital Hall of the Russell Fine Arts Building at Henderson State University.

American mezzo-soprano Sarah Mesko will give a recital on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Harwood Recital Hall of the Russell Fine Arts Building at Henderson State University.
The program will be accompanied by Hee-Kyung Juhn, Henderson piano faculty, and will include French, Spanish and English art songs and arias by Debussy, Ravel, Saint-Saens, Hundley, Duke and others.
Mesko, a native of Hot Springs, holds degrees from the University of Arkansas and Rice University, and has performed with Washington National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, the Glimmerglass Festival, San Francisco Opera Center, Santa Fe Opera and distinguished orchestras around the country. She will be making her Metropolitan Opera debut this season in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. This recital and accompanying masterclass (to occur the following afternoon at 4 p.m.) are being sponsored by Henderson State University Opera Workshop, and donations will be accepted on its behalf.
