Despite a rainy week, local officials have reported no major flooding problems for the area.
According to Clark County Judge Ron Daniell, all roads in the county have remained open and no culverts have washed out.
Daniell said the county has “lucked out” because the rain has been slow and steady.
“It has rained all wee, but we haven’t had any problems whatsoever,” said Daniell.
Meanwhile in the city limits of Arkadelphia, Acting City Manager Brenda Gills said the gravel in several street cuts had been washed out.
“We’ve gone back and filled in some street cuts with gravel until we can fill them in with concrete. We are very fortunate,” Gills said.
Following a rainy Friday, Saturday’s forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms. Cloudy conditions are predicted for Sunday and Monday. A 60 percent chance of morning thunderstorms are in the forecast for Tuesday.
