Five days of activities are planned for the week of spring break at the Arkadelphia Parks and Recreation Center. Those interested may register Friday before 6 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Recreation Center. Registration will also be open the day of the activities, but participants must register between 8 and 11 a.m. Events are for those 18-years-old and younger. Call 246-5499 for more information.
XBOX 360 Tourny
On Monday, an XBOX 360 tournament will begin at noon. Players will compete in games on NCAA Basketball 2010. Two big-screen TVs coupled with XBOX 360 consoles will be setup at the Recreation Center. The event begins a noon, but participants must register before 11 a.m. Awards will be given to the winner(s).
1-on-1 and HORSE
On Tuesday, also beginning at noon, there will be a 1-on-1 tournament followed by a HORSE shootout. Participants must register before 11 a.m.
Slam Dunk and 3-point contests
Wednesday’s activities feature a slam dunk contest on eight and 10 foot goals. Afterwards, a 3-point shootout will take place. Again, the events begin at noon, but participants must register before 11 a.m.
Free throw contest and 2-ball shootout
On Thursday, a free throw contest will begin at noon followed by 2-ball shootout. For the 2-ball shootout, two players will be on each end of the court. Shots made by each player from given points on the court will count for different amounts of points. Participants must register before 11 a.m.
3-on-3
The events conclude Friday with a 3-on-3 tournament that begins at noon. Players must register before 11 a.m.
