While only four swimmers from Arkadelphia High School advanced to the State Swim Meet in Fayetteville, AHS was still able to finish 16th overall out of the 32 schools represented.
Ravi Sun led the team taking first in the 100 yard backstroke and dropping 2.5 seconds from his previous time. Sun turned in a 51.96. In the 200 yard IM, Sun finished third and dropped four seconds from his time with a 1:57.66.
In the 200 yard medley relay, Sun, Will Sonheim, Jace Bradshaw and Griffin Rucker took fourth with a 1:46.49 and decreased their time by three seconds.
Sun, Sonheim, Bradshaw and Rucker earned ninth in the 200 yard freestyle relay while dropping four seconds from their previous time and clocking a 1:37.39.
Sonheim finished the 100 yard breaststroke in 13th with a 1:07.50 which was also two seconds faster than his previous time.
Arkadelphia diver Reagan Parsons finish fifth in the 1-meter diving event with a points total of 312.70.
Out of the 32 schools represented, Arkadelphia finished ahead of Cabot, Fort Smith Northside, Searcy, Little Rock Christian, Springdale, Russellville, Magnolia and Paragould.
