Economic difficulties may be part or the reason for a low adoption rate at the Humane Society of Clark County shelter. Whatever the reason, there are many dogs and cats in need of good homes, and many of them have been at the shelter for far too long. Why not spend some of the funds designated for Christmas giving to provide a home for a wonderful companion dog or cat? Call the shelter at 245-2579 to learn about the animals that are available.
Sid is a 2-year-old male schnoddle. He is very playful, small and cute. He is also house-trained and leash-trained. See him at the Humane Society of Clark County shelter at 627 Walnut St. in Arkadelphia. Call 245-2579 for more information.

Lots of cats, kittens at the shelter
The cats and kittens at the shelter include long-haired, short-haired and all colors. A few have been declawed, and all are old enough for immediate adoption. All of the cats will be either spayed or neutered, have had their shots and have been wormed. To find just the right cat or kitten for your family, call 245-2579 for more information or go by the shelter at 627 Walnut St. in Arkadelphia.

Cat litter a constant need at shelter
A constant, serious need at the humane society shelter is for scoopable cat litter. The litter is one of the most expensive items needed every day for the care of the cats and kittens. Other items that are greatly needed are trash bags, bleach and dry dog and cat food. Call 245-2579 for more information.
Monetary donations may be made in memory of friends and family members who have cared for animals or in memory of a beloved pet. Send donations to: Humane Society of Clark County, P.O. Box 435, Arkadelphia 71923.
