All county offices, with the exception of the Sheriff’s Office, will be closed Friday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. Friday sanitation routes ran today.
Arkadelphia city offices will also be closed Friday. The Recreation Center will be closed Saturday. The Aquatic Park will be open from 1-5:30 p.m. The sanitation department will run its regular routes on Friday.
On Friday, the Curtis Post Office will close at 12:45 p.m. The Okolona Post Office will close at noon. The Amity, Arkadelphia, Gurdon and Whelen Springs post offices will operate under normal business hours.
The Central Arkansas Development Council, SCAT transportation, will be closed Friday. They will resume operation Monday at regular business hours.
The Siftings Herald will be open Friday and will publish a newspaper. No newspaper will be published Monday, but the office will be open for business.
The annual Fourth of July fireworks display at DeGray Lake will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the lawn at DeGray Lake Resort. The event is free to the public.
