The first grade classes of Perritt Primary School presented their production of “E-I-E-I OOPS!” Thursday evening and Friday afternoon under the direction of Perritt music teacher Kelly Bell.
The story concerned a group of barnyard animals as they explained their lives on the farm, and sang a number of tunes to the audience.
Among the animals present in the barnyard were pigs, who encouraged the audience to “Ham it Up,” the sheep who were lost and the “Cute Chicks.”
The classes of Shawna Childs, Connie Hendrix, Amanda McMillion and Linda Syler made up the large cast of characters.
The group closed out the performance with the song “The Whole Barnyard is Singin,’” as the barnyard of oddball characters came together in music as friends.
Blake Batson, father of Blaise Batson, provided the hay for the set. Kelly Green, mother of Luke Green, helped with the stage decorations.
Among the soloist and featured performers in the play were Symeon Banks, Manadia Gardner, Kendrick Hill, Josh Motl, Cayla Perkins, Jhene Utley, Haley Allen, Brady Curtis, Kiyla Campbell, Dakota Eyman, Isaac Hensley, Kayden Langstaff, Jasmine Newborn, Kane Rutldge, Coen Strother, Ollie Ware, Taylor Echols, Latavia Johnson, Gracie Simpson, Ava Baum, Ta’Seylia Blanchette, Evelyn Calhoun, Kennedy Campbell, Breanna Edington, Alissa McClure, Sammie Nowlin, Haley Perry, Maddie Taylor, Victoria Williams, Jarett Bell, Courtlon Crow, Hank Greene, Nazjay Lambert, Colson McKinney, Mai Burrell, Hannah Moss, Derrion Beard, C.J. Dickerson, Ryan Harris, Wynn Pentecost, River Stewart and Olivia Abernathy.
