The Ouachita Warriors took advantage of a big second quarter to take a 67-55 win over the Sparkman Raiders Tuesday night at Ouachita High School.
The Warriors fell behind 18-12 in the opening period, but they put up 20 while holding the visitors to six in the second to take a 32-24 lead at the half.
After the break, the Warriors came back out strong, putting up 16 while allowing 12 to stretch their lead to 48-36.
The final stanza saw the Raiders make strides toward the lead, but the Warriors were able to hold off the visiting team to earn the win.
Drew Hamilton led the Warriors with 24 points, hitting 13 of 17 of his shots from the free throw line.
Dillan Jennings had 21 points, and Austin Ray added 18.
Regan Jones rounded out the scoring with four points.
The Warriors hit 24 of 37 from the charity stripe for 68 percent efficiency.
The Warriors will be back in action Friday as they travel to Taylor to face the Tigers. Tip-off will follow the junior girls and senior girls games.
