The Bismarck Lady Lions were able to pull out the win Friday night on the road due to a last-second shot that pushed them over the Genoa Lady Dragons for a 47-45 win.
With under a minute left in the game, Josie Cranford hit a pair of free throws to take a three-point lead, but Genoa responded with a trey with 10 seconds left in the game.
The Lady Lions took the ball back down the court, tossing it out to Jimmilee Smith, who hit a jumper with 4.8 seconds left in the game to earn the win.
The Lady Lions took a 16-14 lead in the opening period, and both teams added seven in the second for a 23-21 score at the half.
The Lady Lions were able to stretch their lead to 34-29 in the third before coming out with the win.
Smith led the Lady Lions with 14 points on the night, and Cranford had 10.
Logan Oestreich put up nine, Libby Snodgrass and Kaylee Newsom had five each and Shawnee Shepherd and Addison Crow added two each.
The Lady Lions will travel to Fouke Friday night. Tip-off will follow the junior girls game.
