Arkadelphia senior Justin Ledford put pen to paper Friday afternoon to show his intent to play soccer at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.

Ledford said that his decision to play for the Wildcats came after visiting the school.

"The coach was really nice," he said. "The team was really organized, and he seemed to care about making sure other things were right more than about winning. They have a young team, and he wants to build from there."

The defensive midfielder for the Badgers will be joining the Wildcats' central defense.

Badger head coach Steve Patterson touted the senior's leadership and hard work.

"He has been an extremely hard worker all four years," he said. "I don't know anyone that has more enthusiasm for the game. He works hard and plays hard, and he keeps a good attitude all the time. He has been a good leader for the team this year and in the past. I couldn't be more excited for him to be going to Culver-Stockton."

Ledford is one of five seniors on the Badger squad this season.

Culver-Stockton is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the 10-team Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) featuring colleges and universities in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.
