The Arkadelphia Badgers Junior Varsity squad came out a little flat in the first quarter Tuesday night, but they quickly got things back on track as they dominated Arkansas Baptist, 36-16.

The Eagles took a single-point lead into the second stanza of play, 8-7, but the Badgers held them to only two in the period while adding 11 to take an 18-10 lead at the break.

The Badgers outscored the Eagles 7-4 in the third for a 25-14 lead before securing the win in the fourth. The Badgers put up 11 in the last period while giving up two to set the final.

Jahlon Mitchell led the Badgers with 16 points, and Jacob Coon added five.

"This was a good win," said head coach Donald Williams. "It was one of their better ball games. They really played well."
