Franklin D. Thompson, age 77, of Arkadelphia, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in Little Rock.
He was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Arkadelphia, to Melvin and Florence Posey Thompson.
Franklin was a retired heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donnie, Floyd and Bobby Thompson; and one sister, Betty Wilks.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Margaret Thompson; one son, Michael Thompson and wife, Chris of Coral Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Donna Smith of Arkadelphia, and Rhonda McCann of Suwanee, Ga.; two brothers, Larry Thompson of Arkadelphia, and Bill Thompson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, Zachery, Kevin and Connor.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be held at noon Friday until service time.
